The modular S.E.T.and daymark, manufactured to BS EN ISO 9001-2000, is made from lightweight, inert and robust rotationally moulded polyethylene, is set to lower the cost of ongoing maintenance and repair, as each component can be quickly and easily replaced. The unit is much lower in weight than steel and GRP buoys, but can be attached to buoys with these hulls as well as polyethylene and elastomer units.

Repair or servicing the S.E.T. is made much simpler and is attracting huge interest from UK ports and harbour masters, the Ministry of Defence and Environment agencies as well as overseas. The service boat and lifting gear required to take the S.E.T. and install it on existing buoys is much smaller, requires fewer people thereby lowering the cost of maintenance drastically.

These modifications can be added to most 1500 to 3000 mm diameter buoys.
